Seeking a meticulous Order Picker for our busy distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision directly impacts customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics chain. We prioritize workplace Safety above all else, and all employees must adhere to strict Safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and quality before picking.
- Stage picked items in the correct area for consolidation and packing.
- Operate manual material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure overall warehouse Safety.
- Follow all company procedures for handling inventory and order fulfillment.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and requirements for wearing PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting.
- Contribute to team goals and support other warehouse functions to optimize logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to pick orders accurately and efficiently.
- Experience with RF scanning technology is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Capability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic setting.
- Must wear and properly use all required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills are essential for our logistics operations.
- Prior warehouse or fulfillment experience is a significant advantage.
