We are seeking an experienced Receiving Clerk to manage inbound logistics at our San Francisco, California facility. This vital role ensures that all incoming goods are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the initial verification and handling of all shipments, playing a key part in maintaining inventory integrity and operational flow. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify contents against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory system promptly and accurately.
- Stage materials for put-away or further distribution within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, adhering to all regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Liaise with delivery personnel and internal departments regarding inbound shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process from the point of receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or similar logistics position.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems for data entry and tracking.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
