We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately accounted for and processed. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and entering received items into our inventory management system. This position requires physical stamina as there will be frequent lifting and movement of goods. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory. You will work closely with other warehouse staff, including inventory clerks and material handlers, to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of all inbound freight. Excellent communication skills are important for coordinating with carriers and internal departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Organize and stage incoming materials for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed (training provided if necessary).
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as required.
- Support overall warehouse operations as directed.
