Our facility in Durham, North Carolina is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. This role involves a combination of hands-on warehouse duties and basic technical support for warehouse equipment and systems. You will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of the warehouse, which includes tasks such as equipment maintenance, troubleshooting minor technical issues, and supporting the movement of goods. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of warehouse operations are essential. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth running of our logistics network. We prioritize a safe and compliant work environment, requiring the appropriate use of PPE . Expect a mix of manual tasks including Lifting , and technical responsibilities. Adherence to all Safety protocols is critical. This role contributes significantly to our overall Logistics performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks).
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to warehouse systems.
- Assist with the physical movement of inventory, including loading and unloading.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and the facility to ensure Safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Operate various warehouse machinery as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Perform Lifting and material handling tasks as required, up to 50 lbs.
- Support the overall Logistics operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment with basic technical aptitude.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment maintenance and repair.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of workplace Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE .
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
