We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be essential to the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the movement, storage, and organization of materials. Responsibilities include receiving and unloading shipments, transporting materials using pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified), stocking inventory, and preparing materials for shipment or production. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage and accuracy.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified).
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments or internal use.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Adhere to all logistics and operational procedures.
- Perform regular safety checks on equipment and work areas.
- Ensure all lifting is done safely and correctly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts (certification a plus).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
