Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. You will play a key part in upholding the integrity of our supply chain and supporting overall warehouse performance. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify trends, and recommend adjustments to optimize stock.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, movement, and valuation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed to understand inventory flow.
  • Ensure that all lifting activities are performed safely and in accordance with guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and WMS.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
