Our San Jose, California facility is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. You will be tasked with unloading trucks, verifying receipts against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately logging inventory into our system. The Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our supply chain and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks in a safe and organized manner.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming products for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- May involve occasional manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency with receiving processes and documentation.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, and lift.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety standards and best practices.
- Comfortable with manual Lifting and material handling tasks.
