As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll dive into the world of HVAC systems, acquiring the skills necessary to become a fully qualified Service Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while receiving guidance from experienced professionals. Your primary goal is to build a solid understanding of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, setting you up for success as an HVAC Service Technician.

• Work on water chillers and commercial/industrial heat pumps.
• Participate in customer site visits, shadowing qualified technicians.
• Learn about refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Engage with fans and air handling equipment.
• Install complete HVAC solutions, including temporary hoses, cables, and ancillaries.
• Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remotely.
• Work on electrical power supplies and control panels.
• Gain experience with pumps, water hydraulics, and hydronics.
• Learn about digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, Maths, and ICT or Engineering.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A keen learner who is eager to ask questions and get involved.
• Good written English skills.
• An interest in engineering, heating systems, and low-carbon technologies like heat pumps.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, confidence, and excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
