Job Summary:
Our Des Moines, Iowa distribution center is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our team. This role is vital for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a reach truck to transport, put away, and retrieve inventory from various levels of racking. Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, store, and retrieve inventory.
  • Put away incoming stock into designated racking locations.
  • Pick orders accurately from various rack heights.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure Safety and functionality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety protocols.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties such as loading/unloading trailers, manual picking, and packing as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Strict adherence to all company Safety policies and mandatory use of PPE.
  • Participate in inventory counts and other logistics support tasks.
  • Requires ability to perform occasional manual Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment and understanding of racking systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Safety procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Physical ability to perform duties including occasional manual tasks and Lifting.
  • Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
