Join our busy logistics facility in Nashville, Tennessee, as an Order Picker! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to accurately fulfill customer orders. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic pick lists. Precision and speed are key as you navigate the warehouse to ensure the correct products and quantities are selected. Following the picking process, you will often stage items for packing, ensuring they are ready for the next stage of the logistics chain. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to all safety guidelines is paramount; you will be trained on proper lifting techniques and the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and all employees are expected to contribute to this culture. The ability to perform consistent Lifting of items, sometimes up to 50 lbs, is a core requirement. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Utilize hand-held scanners or pick lists to identify and locate products.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities before and after picking.
- Transport picked items to designated staging areas.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any damaged or missing items to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as directed.
- Operate pallet jacks or other manual material handling equipment safely.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Understand and follow instructions related to order fulfillment and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines, including PPE requirements.
- Good spatial awareness and ability to navigate a warehouse efficiently.
