Join our dynamic warehouse team in San Antonio, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! This fundamental role ensures the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for retrieving items from inventory using scanning devices and meticulously packaging them for safe transit. Your speed, accuracy, and commitment to quality are essential to our logistics operations and overall customer satisfaction. This position involves constant movement within the warehouse and requires physical stamina. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, so adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is paramount. This is a great opportunity to be a key player in our distribution center's success and contribute to efficient logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Package orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Apply shipping labels and other necessary documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding areas.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and product integrity.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines diligently.
- Wear and use all mandated PPE throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment as directed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a Picker/Packer role or general warehouse setting is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and order information accurately. Experience with RF scanning technology is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly. The physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. A strong commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is required. Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Team player with good communication skills. Basic understanding of logistics principles is a plus.
