Join our thriving logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida, as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for an experienced individual to operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handling a variety of materials and products. This role is integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our supply chain functions. Our Jacksonville facility is a hub of activity, and your role as a Forklift Operator will directly impact our productivity and customer satisfaction. We emphasize a culture of Safety and provide all necessary training and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse, load/unload trucks, and move stock to and from storage areas.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts, ensuring all safety features are operational and reporting any defects.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes and vests.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment, verifying quantities and product codes.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation, contributing to precise inventory records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with warehouse standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational improvements.
- Handle merchandise with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting; certification required.
- Physical ability to perform duties including frequent Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
