Join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for organized and efficient individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate shipments, directly impacting customer satisfaction. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packed correctly. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning technology and adhering to strict quality and safety standards. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movements and confirm picks.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders efficiently and securely, using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and packing area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets and support overall logistics operations.
- Perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including frequent lifting up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Capability of repetitive lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Basic computer and scanning equipment proficiency.
- Good manual dexterity and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork in a logistics setting.
