The Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining warehouse equipment, performing minor repairs, assisting with inventory control, and ensuring the overall operational efficiency of the facility. Your technical aptitude will be crucial in supporting our complex supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors, and pallet jacks.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse infrastructure and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Support the receiving and shipping departments as needed, including material handling.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair logs are accurate and up-to-date.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with external technicians when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with common warehouse machinery.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
