We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse equipment and facilities. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems, is in optimal working condition. You will also play a key role in implementing and upholding safety standards throughout the warehouse. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, a commitment to preventative maintenance, and a dedication to ensuring a safe and productive logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the logistics operations.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the proper use of PPE is essential.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping.
