Our dynamic warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support our daily logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials and products within the warehouse. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Pick and pack orders accurately as directed.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, and vests.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding material status and any issues.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs, regularly.
- Proficiency in using various material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Reliable and punctual.
