Our busy distribution center in Miami, Florida, is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our overall warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently to move pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks in a timely and organized manner.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage locations and from storage to shipping areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials in designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company guidelines for warehouse operations and logistics.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to use provided PPE, including safety vests and hard hats.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
