Our expanding Distribution Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our vital logistics team. This role is fundamental to the efficient processing and movement of goods. You will perform a range of operational duties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against order details.
- Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders with precision.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all established guidelines.
- Participate actively in inventory management processes, including cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational targets.
- Support the smooth execution of all logistics functions within the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a consistent work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Strict adherence to safety regulations and correct use of PPE required.
- Basic understanding of logistics is beneficial.
