We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our **logistics** team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all **logistics** procedures for material handling.
- Identify and report any **safety** hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts is essential. Must have a strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE** protocols. Ability to perform physical tasks including **Lifting** (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness are necessary. A commitment to **safety** and efficiency is key. This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations.
