Our Boise, Idaho location is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the incoming flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying contents, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be required to adhere to all guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our robust logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Accurately check and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect all deliveries for any damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items, noting any issues or variances.
- Properly label and stage incoming merchandise for put-away.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
