Join our advanced logistics facility in San Jose, California, as an Order Picker! We are looking for diligent individuals to accurately retrieve items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that orders are picked correctly and efficiently to meet customer expectations. You will utilize scanning technology and follow established procedures to maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse locations using RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order tickets to ensure correctness.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Properly use and maintain assigned equipment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Utilize appropriate PPE during all warehouse activities.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Meet or exceed established picking quotas and performance standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment: This role is based in a high-volume warehouse. Physical demands include frequent lifting, standing, and walking. All employees must comply with safety regulations and wear provided PPE. The environment may involve varying temperatures.
