We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and implementing inventory control procedures. The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations. A meticulous approach to detail and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety are key to success. This position is central to our Logistics efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate recording of all inventory movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Work closely with other departments, including operations and purchasing, to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Promote and enforce warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist in maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand and apply inventory control principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Must be able to handle tasks that may involve Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with required PPE and its proper use.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
