We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our Boise, Idaho location. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. This includes verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly stocking received items. The Receiving Clerk is a key player in maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly. A keen eye for detail and adherence to Safety protocols are essential for success in this position. This role supports the wider Logistics chain by ensuring goods are correctly accounted for upon arrival.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify quantities and types of goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Accurately document all received items in the inventory system.
- Properly tag and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, following all Safety guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding discrepancies or issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on Safety and material handling.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all tasks.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to consistently use required PPE.
