We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse in New York City, New York. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our logistics operations by moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout the facility. Safety is our top priority, and this role requires a skilled operator who understands and adheres to all safety regulations. You will be responsible for the daily inspection and maintenance of your forklift, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all logistics protocols to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support team members with various warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
