We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation and documentation of all outgoing shipments, ensuring that products leave our facility correctly and on time. - Preparing shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Verifying shipment details against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Labeling packages correctly for domestic and international shipping.
- Receiving and organizing incoming materials for shipping.
- Maintaining accurate shipping records and logs.
- Operating shipping software and equipment.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to handle paperwork efficiently and maintain records.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
