We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring a smooth inflow of materials. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders, and accurately documenting all incoming goods. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to process will ensure that our operations run efficiently. This position is a critical link in our logistics chain. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe work environment, requiring the diligent use of PPE . Tasks will involve regular Lifting of incoming stock. Strict adherence to all Safety procedures is expected. Your contribution to our Logistics success is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify all incoming shipments.
- Match received goods with purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system accurately.
- Tag and stage incoming products for storage.
- Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal staff regarding deliveries.
- Uphold all company Safety standards and utilize all required PPE .
- Perform routine Lifting of boxes and materials, up to 50 lbs.
- Support the efficient flow of Logistics within the warehouse.
- Ensure all receiving processes are executed correctly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory systems.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Strong commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE .
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
