Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Tampa, Florida? We are seeking experienced individuals to join our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will ensure materials are moved safely and accurately, contributing to overall warehouse productivity and inventory integrity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from various warehouse locations.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas according to safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of forklift usage and movements.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to optimize logistics workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in the use of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics operations is preferred.
