Become an integral part of our logistics operations as an Order Picker in Detroit, Michigan! We are seeking diligent individuals to accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment. This fast-paced role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and physical stamina. You will be responsible for locating items based on order forms, using handheld scanners to track inventory, and ensuring that the correct products are gathered for each customer order. Adherence to safety procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is critical to maintaining a secure work environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a warehouse setting, capable of lifting moderate weights, and possess excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner data.
- Verify product information against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items appropriately for shipment, ensuring protection during transit.
- Use RF scanners to manage inventory and track order progress.
- Stage completed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
- Meet established productivity targets and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of inventory management concepts.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
