We are hiring Order Pickers for our busy logistics facility in Los Angeles, California. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for efficiently locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves to assemble customer orders. This position demands physical stamina, precision, and a keen eye for detail. You will operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) and utilize handheld scanning devices to track inventory and order status. Safety is our top priority; therefore, all team members are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, capable of lifting moderate to heavy items, and adept at navigating large storage areas. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Use RF scanners to record picked items and update inventory.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Meet established picking performance metrics.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using RF scanning equipment.
- Experience operating forklifts and other PIT is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent stamina and physical fitness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
