• Detecting illegal immigrants attempting entry into the USA via waterways, including rivers and oceans using advanced surveillance technology; interrogating suspects suspected of violating customs and immigration regulations by inspecting documents and pertinent information regarding citizenship status;
• Pursuing fugitives wanted under various charges associated with criminal offenses committed both domestically and internationally over time through manned patrols conducted on foot or horseback, vehicle operations carried out on aquatic vessels, or helicopter air support units deployed strategically along international borderlands
