Salary: £32,700 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

About Us

The Rosewood Montessori Day Nursery & Forest School is nestled in a tranquil residential area, conveniently located between Ruislip Manor and Eastcote Train Stations. With easy on-street parking, our nursery is accessible for both staff and parents.

We pride ourselves on creating a warm, homely atmosphere within a spacious house, enriched by a variety of extracurricular activities. From Superstar Sports that promote physical development to Tiny Mites Storytelling that sparks creativity and listening skills, we have something for every child. Our expansive outdoor area features a dedicated forest school, where children can explore nature through activities like den building, mud cooking, and creating art from natural materials.

Your Role

As a Nursery Third in Charge, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
  • Help implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.
What You’ll Need

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Essential
  • Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position: Desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS: Essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
