Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As a Technical Solutions Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in our Data Centre Sales and Project Management teams. This is your chance to be the primary post-sale contact, ensuring smooth order processing and exceptional customer support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Your ImpactThis role is crucial for the success of our UK&I Data Centre business unit. You will manage the order-to-delivery lifecycle, support effective cash collection, and provide timely sales forecasts. You’ll be the key operational link between Sales, Finance, Logistics, Factories, and our Customer Care leadership.
What Will You Be Doing?In this dynamic role, you will connect customers directly to Carrier’s UK&I Data Centre team, supporting both standard and complex orders. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Assist the Sales team with customer inquiries and tender bids.
- Engage directly with clients, consultants, and designers to create detailed and accurate selections.
- Manage the end-to-end post-order process from order receipt to delivery.
- Oversee the review and approval of Technical Submittals with the Project Management team.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers post-sale, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
- Support the Project Delivery Team for seamless execution from order intake to final delivery.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in a technical sales or project delivery role, particularly in HVAC or building services.
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams, including customer care, sales, and project delivery.
- A strong understanding of tender inquiries, product selections, technical submittals, and post-order processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of handling escalations and complex customer situations.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
