As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll dive into the world of HVAC systems, gaining the skills necessary to become a fully qualified Service Technician. Here’s a glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Work on Water Chillers and commercial/industrial Heat Pumps.
• Participate in customer site visits, shadowing qualified Technicians.
• Learn about refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Work on fans and air handling equipment.
• Install full HVAC solutions, including temporary hoses, cables, and ancillaries.
• Help troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remotely.
• Engage with electrical power supplies and control panels.
• Work on pumps, water hydraulics, and hydronics.
• Learn about digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and grow. Here’s what you need to bring:

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, Maths, and ICT or Engineering.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A keen interest in engineering, heating systems, and low-carbon technologies like heat pumps.
• Good written English and strong communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and confidence.
• Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
