Border Patrol Agent Role Overview

As a seasoned professional in the field of border patrol, you will be an integral part of our dedicated workforce that strives to safeguard the nation's borders and protect its citizens.

• Detects and questions individuals suspected of violating immigration laws

1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution. A bachelor's degree must include at least 12 semester hours (or equivalent) in courses such as foreign language, history, political science, sociology or law enforcement/administrative justice administration management.
2. A minimum cumulative GPA is required. Check with your desired hiring agency for specific requirements.
3. The selected individual may be required to take a polygraph examination prior to appointment as a Border Patrol Agent - some exceptions apply.
