The Role
As the most senior person on site during the night shift, you will lead, manage, and drive performance across the bakery operation. You will typically oversee two production lines , ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and delivery against targets.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a seasoned FMCG manager who is confident working nights and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the night shift operation and site leadership
- Leading and managing two bakery production lines
- Driving efficiency and performance across all lines
- Hourly production reporting and KPI tracking
- Managing waste and identifying reduction opportunities
- Conducting safety tours, watchouts, and quality checks
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and quality standards
- Leading, motivating, and developing night shift teams
- Acting as the senior decision-maker on site during nights
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Shift Manager in an FMCG environment
- Food manufacturing background (bakery experience desirable but not essential)
- Proven experience working night shifts
- A confident, self-starting leader who gets things moving
- Strong people management and decision-making skills
- Results-driven with a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality
