Key objectives: At St. James's Hotel and Club, the Sales Executive is responsible for driving growth across St. Jamess Club members, reciprocal clubs, Groups and MICE segments. This role focuses on proactive business development, strategic account management, partnership expansion, and networking initiatives, while consistently achieving and exceeding defined sales targets. Working closely with the Director of Sales, Reservations & Revenue team, Marketing Manager, Meetings & Events Coordinator, the wider hotel team, and the Althoff Sales team, the Sales Executive ensures alignment with commercial objectives and brand standards. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Business Development: Manage and develop a portfolio of existing Reciprocal and St. Jamess Club members to drive sustained revenue growth. Expand international reciprocal club partnerships and secure new reciprocal agreements. Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing initiatives to grow international club bookings. Build and maintain strong relationships with MICE agents, travel advisors, corporate bookers, and event planners. Identify, manage, negotiate and convert group and MICE opportunities. Conduct quarterly business reviews with key partners. Re-engage past group bookers and previous MICE clients to generate repeat business. Negotiate contracts and prepare professional client proposals within assigned segments. Networking & Brand representation: Organise and host site inspections, familiarisation trips, and client entertainment (nationally and internationally). Organise events for St. Jamess Club members. Develop virtual networking initiatives with reciprocal partners. Ensure the hotel is feature across partners club communications, including newsletters, social media, and publications. Maintain close collaboration with the International Association of Clubs to enhance brand visibility. Represent the hotel at industry networking events, including Westminster Venue Collection and other relevant associations. Sales Activity & Market Intelligence: Conduct targeted telesales and face-to-face appointments. Perform monthly local sales visits and external showcases to increase brand awareness. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain strong commercial awareness. Build and maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date client database. Liaise closely with the Director of Sales to develop tactical offers and maximise company-wide promotions. General Duties & Reporting: Prepare detailed weekly sales reports outlining past activities, pipeline, any wins, competitor insights and etc. Attend monthly Commercial Meetings, presenting assigned segments performance and market analysis. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all sales activities. Provide full cover for Meetings & Events Coordinator duties during periods of absence. Complete all required trainings, including Mapal training modules. Communicate proactively with all departments to ensure guest expectations are met in line with brand standards.
