SEN Teacher

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520

Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Wigan School

Located in Wigan, our new school provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 16. • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
• Report on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other school staff to meet pupils' needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and achieve positive learning outcomes.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Possess a suitable qualification to degree level
• Have previous successful teaching experience
• Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques
• Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
