Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Supporting the class team in creating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to meet individual needs.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Building strong relationships with pupils to foster interaction and positive learning outcomes.
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Possess a strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
- Have previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques.
- Committed to ongoing professional development and eager to learn.
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, with the cost covered by Polaris Education.
