Sync Software is a web-based SaaS platform built specifically for construction and project-led businesses. It brings together project management, supplier and subcontractor compliance, financial tracking, and operational reporting into a single system designed to replace fragmented spreadsheets and disconnected tools.
The platform supports the full project lifecycle, from customer creation and quoting, through purchase orders and supplier invoicing, to compliance monitoring and financial visibility at project and portfolio level. It integrates with external financial systems and payment services and is structured around a multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
Sync is live with paying customers and continues to evolve through roadmap planning, and user feedback. As adoption grows, focus areas include scalability, API integrations, financial workflows, and preparation for mobile application support.
*The Role*
We are looking for a PHP-focused software developer to support the continued development and scaling of the Sync platform.
This role involves working within a Laravel-based, multi-tenant SaaS application. You will be responsible for developing new features, refining existing workflows, and contributing to the overall stability and performance of a live production system.
You will work with structured relational data, business-critical financial and compliance workflows, and API integrations with external services.
While the core focus is backend development, the role includes exposure to frontend components and JavaScript where required, particularly in areas that interact closely with backend logic.
*Core Responsibilities*
* Develop and maintain the Sync SaaS platform using PHP and Laravel
* Contribute to API development and third-party integrations
* Support and enhance existing backend architecture
* Work with relational databases and structured data models
* Collaborate on frontend functionality where required
* Assist in preparing the platform for future mobile application support
* Contribute to platform stability, performance, and maintainability
* Support basic server and infrastructure tasks where necessary
*Essential Experience*
* Strong commercial experience with PHP
* Laravel framework experience
* Solid SQL and relational database knowledge
* JavaScript experience
* Experience building and integrating APIs
* Comfortable working within an established codebase
* Confidence working in a Linux environment or using the terminal
*Beneficial Experience*
* Mobile app development (React)
* Livewire, Alpine.js, or similar frontend tooling
* Tailwind CSS
* Stripe integration
* Sage or other financial system integrations
* Experience working on SaaS platforms
* Exposure to construction or property technology
* Basic server administration knowledge
