In your role as Indirect Purchasing Manager (m/f/d) you support the smooth operational procurement of indirect materials and services. You are responsible for the efficient execution of purchasing processes – from processing internal purchase requisitions to ensuring on-time delivery. With your structured way of working and strong communication skills, you ensure that internal demands are fulfilled reliably and cost-effectively.
- Review and process internal purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
- Create, maintain and manage purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Obtain and compare quotations and conduct operational negotiations with suppliers regarding prices and delivery terms.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain order confirmations, track delivery dates and resolve deviations.
- Track deliveries and follow up on delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier, pricing and master data in the system.
- Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. requesters, accounting, logistics) to ensure smooth purchasing processes.
- Support basic analyses and reports (e.g. open purchase orders, on-time delivery performance).
- Completed commercial education or a comparable qualification.
- Initial to several years of experience in operational purchasing, ideally in indirect procurement.
- Confident handling of ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Structured, reliable and independent working style with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and service-oriented mindset when dealing with internal and external partners.
- Basic negotiation skills and a good understanding of costs and processes.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
