This is not a basic store setup. This is an automation-focused, vendor-integrated build.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
• Vendor-direct dropship model (no inventory held)
• Products supplied via vendor CSVs via FTP
• Orders routed back to vendors via EDI/SFTP
• Heavy emphasis on data normalization, SKU/attribute consistency, and clean database structure
• Figma UI designs will be provided (separate designer)
• Focus is procurement-style clarity and long-term stability
WHAT THIS ROLE OWNS
• Backend architecture and data structure
• API ingestion and normalization workflows
• EDI order routing implementation
• Hosting, deployment, and scalability decisions
• Coordination of additional developers (frontend + API automation)
• Breaking work into structured phases with clear deliverables
This is technical ownership — not task-based development.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Deep WooCommerce backend expertise
• Custom plugin development
• REST API integrations
• Database architecture (MySQL)
• Cron jobs / automation workflows
• Experience integrating external vendor systems
Experience with EDI integrations is a strong plus.
We are looking for a long-term technical partner who can own execution so the business owner can focus on operations and growth.
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: WooCommerce, WordPress, API Integration, PHP, MySQL, Solution Architecture, RESTful API, EDI Integration
