This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in Big Data technologies and modern engineering practices. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and supporting production releases, ensuring smooth deployments and stable operations.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data processing workloads using Apache Spark and Big Data frameworks.
Build scalable applications and services using Scala programming.
Utilize Docker for containerizing applications and maintaining consistent development and deployment environments.
Develop backend components and services using Java.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams while being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Support PROD releases, including deployment activities, monitoring, troubleshooting, and post‑release validation.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Strong hands-on experience in Apache Spark and Big Data technologies.
Proficiency in Scala programming.
Practical experience with Docker for containerization.
Solid foundation in Java development.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and work with minimal guidance.
Experience supporting production environments, releases, and operational workflows.
**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
