Work Type
Location: Kingston, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
On-Call: Shared 24/7 support rotation

What You'll Do
Serve as a senior technical resource supporting the design, deployment, and optimization of virtualization platforms
Manage support requests through their full lifecycle - intake, troubleshooting, resolution, and documentation
Administer and support Proxmox Virtual Environment and Proxmox Backup Server
Lead and support migrations from VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix to open-source platforms
Manage and optimize compute, storage, and virtualization layers for enterprise environments
Evaluate server hardware designs (CPU, memory, storage) for performance and scalability
Assist with platform upgrades, migrations, and ongoing infrastructure improvements
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery
Contribute to project planning, coordination, and execution for infrastructure initiatives
Maintain clear documentation and knowledge-sharing practices
What We're Looking For
4+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support within enterprise virtualization environments
Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix (Proxmox a strong plus)
Strong Linux system administration skills
Solid understanding of enterprise storage (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SAN environments)
Experience supporting enterprise or large-scale clients (MSP, consulting, or internal IT)
Ability to communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working in unfamiliar environments and solving new problems
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with automation or scripting
Exposure to DevOps or infrastructure-as-code concepts
Participation in infrastructure design or technical workshops
Relevant technical certifications
Additional languages (French, Spanish, or German)
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $90,000 – $115,000
