Within a large organization, you will be responsible for optimizing, monitoring, and governing cloud costs (public and private). You will actively contribute to improving the financial efficiency of technology environments while delivering strategic, data-driven insights to executive leadership teams.
Responsibilities
Manage cloud commercial incentives (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, vendor credits, contractual discounts, etc.).
Optimize cost efficiency across non-standard allocations (e.g., shared services, platform environments, cross-functional infrastructures).
Ensure ongoing compliance with cost management standards, policies, and procedures.
Conduct monthly financial and operational reviews based on large datasets.
Produce executive-level deliverables driven by quantitative analysis (dashboards, strategic reports, presentations).
Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Architecture teams to improve cost visibility and governance.
Contribute to FinOps initiatives and chargeback/showback models.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4-5 years of experience in IT or cloud cost management.
Strong understanding of public and private cloud concepts.
Experience with various types of databases:
Structured
Unstructured
Columnar databases
Proficiency with SDLC tools such as Jira, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
Experience with public cloud cost management tools and mechanisms (native and third-party).
Proven ability to work independently within a complex, large-scale organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
Development experience (e.g., Python, Java, ETL, ELT, Swagger).
Experience with data modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL, PowerDesigner).
Experience with analytics databases (e.g., Snowflake).
Experience in IT cost management strategies, including TCO, capacity planning, and financial modeling.

Cost & Usage Reports
Reserved Instances
Vendor discounts
AWS, Azure, or GCP cost management mechanisms
Understanding of cloud billing processes and procedures.
Knowledge of or certifications in FinOps or IT Business Management (ITBM).
Experience with chargeback and cost recovery models.
Profile

Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Strong stakeholder management skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
