Role Description
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting program delivery and maintenance, reporting, and program recipient-focused activities for Bioenterprise programming. The Program Coordinator will be tasked with collaborative execution of programming as it relates to Bioenterprise Canada's delivery of a new funding program targeted to companies that are advancing clean technology development, commercialization, and adoption in Canada's agriculture sector. The role requires coordination of recipient-focused projects, on time, within budget, and within scope, supporting reporting requirements, and support of other Bioenterprise programs that are ongoing or may be developed in the future. The primary focus of this role will be to support the delivery of Bioenterprise's programming however, assistance may be required for any existing or new programs developed in the future.
This position will be fulfilled onsite at Bioenterprise's head office, located in Guelph, Ontario, and remotely. It may require occasional travel within Canada to partner locations or external event sites. Expectation of 37.5-hour work week with standard vacation time. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have prior experience in program/project management and working in a collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of Bioenterprise and their partners
Supporting the Bioenterprise Programs team in preparing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle; adhere to government stakeholder reporting requirements
Working with the Bioenterprise Programs team to develop new programs that support the strategic direction of the organization
Collaborating with Bioenterprise teams (senior management and marketing/communications) to develop content for program funding proposals and communication initiatives
Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer/client satisfaction, quality, and team performance
Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved
Participating in strategic planning initiatives
Communicating with the Programs team to ensure all efforts are meeting the goals of the role
Active participation in all discussions that may arise
Execute other responsibilities or tasks not yet defined but germane to the role and its evolution
Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in agri-tech, -food, -business, or related field
Strong collaboration and communication skills (written & oral)
Computer and generally tech-savvy; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data management systems
Knowledge, experience and/or education in field of business to assist in advising staff or program participants
Knowledge, experience and/or education in program design, development, and evaluation methods to oversee the analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness and service delivery
Marketing and communications experience considered an asset
Second language (French) considered an asset

Excellent interpersonal, communications skills (written & verbal) and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work across teams and work well within Bioenterprise's network of partners, clients, and funders/investors
Multitasking and administrative skills to manage several large- and small-scale activities
Ability to learn and recall information at a fast pace
Willingness to take on new challenges independently and in a team environment
Experience and/or exposure in the Canadian agriculture/agri-food sector is an asset
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
