What You'll Do
The Employer Training Coordinator plays a pivotal role in preparing jobseekers for success with large employer partners. Working in close collaboration with the Employer Services team, and reporting to the Senior Training Coordinator on the Fedcap Canada Learning and Development team, the Employer Training Coordinator will be responsible for building sustainable and impactful employer partnerships that create direct employment routes for jobseekers and enhance work readiness.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Needs Analysis
- Conduct employer needs analysis for a portfolio of approximately 5-10 key employers across the top in-demand sectors, ensuring consistent relationship management and a deep understanding of employer requirements.
- Be a key point of contact for all employer partners' training needs, working in close collaboration with the Senior Training Coordinator, Learning and Development Manager, and Director of Employer Services.
- Source and integrate new resources across the top in-demand sectors and topics, where appropriate.
Curriculum Design and Implementation
- Develop and implement a custom curriculum, in collaboration with approximately 5-10 employer partners via the Employer Services team, to support employer readiness
- Create e-learning and instructor-led training courses, coordinate training logistics, deliver training in-person and online, ensure compliance with training requirements, and collaborate with employers, Service Providers, and other partners regarding specific training needs.
- Incorporate aspects of existing evidence-based workforce practices as applicable into training curricula.
- Integrate new skills and knowledge into training as needed, based upon changing trends in workforce development, embedding regular review of best practices via an annual review process.
- Engage in ongoing research and attend training to stay informed about current trends in workforce development across the top 3-5 key sectors, informed by the Employer Services team.
Curriculum Delivery
- Create and deliver training for jobseekers informed by employers that addresses approximately 5-10 employers' specific knowledge, skills, and essential performance requirements of open roles.
- Train jobseekers through in-person, online, or e-learning courses on new and established curriculum and training topics.
- Use Articulate 360 and Fedcap Canada's Learning Management System to create and distribute training.
- Use technology to provide online training, streamline the evaluation feedback loop, and reduce reliance on paper.
- Manage and be accountable for the suite of routeway courses and programs for approximately 5-10 large employers per year.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of training and incorporate updates to the training as needed for continuous excellence.
- Report on training efforts and outcomes.
You're a Great Fit for This Role If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources, Communications, or related field, or a combination of education/experience
- Minimum 2 years of training and curriculum development experience.
- Experience working as a trainer or a teacher.
- Bilingual (French and English) is a plus.
Compensation:
$58,000 - $65,000 (CAD)
