Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Crew Chief is responsible for supervising, assigning, inspecting and certifying job tasks.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Quality control of the work performed, and the timely completion of work (ref: AWM by personnel on their crews
- Identify and report abnormal occurrences as defined by CAR 625 Appendix G (all maintenance shall be performed using the methods, techniques, practices, parts, materials, tools, equipment, and test apparatus specified by the manufacturer of the aeronautical product
- Review scheduled and unscheduled maintenance required and assign tasks to personnel on their crew
- Ensure that dispatch procedures, as per the applicable MCM are followed with respect to maintenance activities
- Assist and step in for department as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
- Transport Canada AME License with an M1 and/or M2 rating
- Minimum five years of experience with M1 (m1/m2 preferred)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Minimum two years supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
- Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
