Our total compensation package offers a competitive salary based on experience, with an expected range of $65,000 to $80,000, along with extended health and dental coverage, EFAP support, vision care, life insurance, RRSP matching, and paid vacation. What You'll Do
Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees across multiple Western Canada branches
Ensure accurate calculation of regular wages, overtime, stat pay, vacation pay, commissions, bonuses, shift premiums, and other earnings
Administer benefit deductions, RRSP contributions, garnishments, and non-routine earnings or adjustments
Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with provincial and federal legislation
Manage apprenticeship leaves, school leaves, and other leaves of absence for trades employees
Reconcile payroll reports and related general ledger entries
Prepare and submit Records of Employment
Support year-end reporting including T4 preparation and reconciliations
Conduct bi-weekly payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and managers in a professional and timely manner
Partner with HR and branch leadership to ensure accurate employee data, compensation changes, and policy interpretation
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce payroll risk
Support occasional accounting tasks including reconciliations and journal entries
What We're Looking For
5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience in an organization of 300+ employees
Professional Payroll Certification required, such as PCP, CPM, or equivalent
Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards
Experience processing payroll across multiple branches or provinces preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reconciliation
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict bi-weekly deadlines
Professional communication skills with the ability to advise leaders confidently
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
