What You'll be Doing
Responsible for successful product launch by project managing the Operations activities cross a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Manufacturing Engineers, Planners, Buyers, Production Staff, Quality and EH&S - providing leadership and technical/project guidance for IRAD funded, customer funded NRE and or non-standard product configurations Lead NPI projects, ensuring timely execution of deliverables Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products Facilitate operational readiness reviews and assessments for low rate and full rate production Serve as a liaison between program management, engineering and operations teams to address technical challenges, understanding of contractual requirements and communicate project risks Prepare design stage gate review package highlighting operations development progress, risk profile and CapEx Responsible for presenting to various levels of cross-functional leadership in design reviews and various business meetings Responsible for providing project estimations, ETCs and adherence for Earn Value Management reporting in JIRA Responsible for defining, project managing and tracking adherence to product targets (hours per unit, material/labour costs, lead time, yield) by organizing, leading and or facilitating DFx toolsets Participate in the bid and proposal process by providing operations assessment, risks and CapEx requirements Lead/Participate in project scrum(s), daily production cell team meeting(s), etc. Understanding cause and effect of changes affecting program schedule, quality and cost Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality Coach junior team members on project management/manufacturing best practices, methodologies and lessons learned Compliance with the companies Quality Management System and AS9100 Ability to effective manage multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrate through project leadership behaviours of integrity, respect and excellence Travel to Don Mills location, when required. Education and Experiences We Seek
University degree in Engineering or college diploma in Engineering Technology Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a project management capacity managing complex projects Experience presenting to executive and or senior leadership Must have a well-rounded project management background with experience in a high tech environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Attention to detail Strong knowledge of current and advanced Manufacturing processes and technologies Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams PMP Certification is an asset P.Eng license is an asset Lean Greenbelt or Six Sigma certified is an asset It Would Be Great if You Also Had
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Project Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational and planning/project management skills Knowledge of MRP system(s) Knowledge/experience of Confluence/JIRA Knowledge of operations and manufacturing environments Ability to lead the closure of technical issues Dynamic, resourceful and takes initiative (sense of urgency, innovative, problem solver) Ability to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions to achieve operational efficiencies Data driven decision making approach Excellent functional skills of Project Management tools *This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $80000 to $130,000
