We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is critical for accurately processing all incoming inventory, ensuring it is correctly documented and stored. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, responsible for verifying contents, inspecting for damages, and updating our inventory management system. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records within our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and completeness.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label incoming inventory appropriately.
- Organize and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
